Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

They sell beer that isnt PBR and Grain Belt in Iowa?

Not that either are bad, I drink both from time to time.

PBR SUCKS:D They used to sell stuff that just came in a yellow can and said "BEER" across it. I dont think you can get much cheaper than that:haha:

TBI spacer modification (literally)

I decided to get the normal 2 hole spacer so I could open it up myself. I didnt like the full open one from summit and the CFM tech one didnt look right:thinking: So I figured with access to a mill and air powerd dremel I could make one I like:rolleyes:. I'm happy enough with the results so far. I could have spent a little more time and Made it look better but I got sick of inhaling aluminum dust that I probably shouldnt have (sparkly boogers:doah:). All thats left is to install it.

Thanks:thumb:

The more I look at it the more I want to take all the mill lines the rest of the way out though. I'd also like to angle the inner portion a little more on the sides towards the intake holes( make a smoother side to side transition). I'll bring home a dust mask and fine tune it a little maybe:dunno:

Nice looking, Now I remember where I saw those rims before when I ordered them from summit. I just spent the past 30 mins going through your build, you came a long way. What's next?

like the porting on the spacer Shady....good job mang.

Next I plan on finishing my current upgrades with the fluids, spacer, etc.. Then its on to a spare tire mount and some stereo work.

I've been thinking of doing this since I started looking at spacers back when I got this thing. It will be fine tuned a little yet but its almost ready to put in:)

Interested in the spare tire mounting, and I finally ordered those speakers for my 99 you suggested...thanks again.

I'm sorta torn on the tire mount:confused: I have 2 ideas that I like but I'll have to wait till I do some cage work on the kids truck before I decide. I think a lot of people will like the final setup but you'll have to wait to see:whistle:

I got the TBI spacer in and have the cable bracket figured out. Broke the plastic end off of the TV cable:confused: All I gotta do is a little welding and figure out what to do with the tv cable. But I'm off to wisconsin dells for a couple days as soon as my load of steel gets here this morning so the trucks gonna sit:D

I got it all back together and ready to go, havent driven it yet. I have a few pics of the install process and a bad one of the bracket I cut and lengthend. I also had to cut the cable bracket to make room for the cruise control. I havent done the injector spacer yet. I have to read up on it more and try to get a rebuild manual for the tbi unit.

OK, So... after driving for a day or so and finally taking it up the highway and interstate speeds.... I does have more power:rolleyes:. I do have an off idle hesitation (timing:dunno:) But I accomplished what I wanted. It dosent hunt in and out of converter lockup at speed any more. It just chuggs along with a sweet low pur:D. I'm happy.

No MPG info yet cause I cant afford to fill a 40 gallon tank:doah: But it runs down the road way better.

Sweet man!!! I dont quite understand it lol, but im sure someone will explain lol.

some one would,, but nodody follows this thread anymore:rolleyes: I think it has to do with No 1 tons and 44"s. If you dont understand the hunting thing... It was basically shifting up and down at 55-65 mph constantly. now it dont:D
