cavemans CUCV

CAVEMAN!! Good to see you over here on CK5 man. I was really hoping you were gonna finish the crew cab, but your CUCV has turned out bad A$$. It looks really good. In fact, you tempted me to want to buy your crew cab and finish it as another wheeler, but I've been head on in my tow rig crew cab build, it probably would have sat for a long time before I got around to it. Either way, your rig looks real good! More pics!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. The crew cab is still in my shop but I sold it to one of my mechanics. I don't know why but I never really "felt" that truck. It's hard to explain. I have been stalking your CC build that 8.1 is going to pull nice. I will be sure to keep this build thread updated. I'm glad to finally be here I don't know what has taken me so long.

Oh and it's pretty bad A$$ to see your Blazer at Moab on the home page.

I love this thing! Thought I wasn't going to like the tube bed but as it progressed it really started to look good! Also the studs in the 205 are a great idea! I have been looking for a simple design for a crossmember to support the 205 on mine. Now I know what to do. :waytogo:

Dayuuummmmmm! when you build it you don't dick around! nice looking truck....and kids! I believe keeping them busy keeps them out of trouble, did that with ours and planning to do it with the grandkids.

Thanks, there are things I dislike about the bed. I have been thinking about re doing here lately but hen I remember how much work it was.

what kind of headlights are those and do you like them?

They are Truck lite/Rigid head lights. I love them, they are expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

I love it when practical/functional is also badass! Nice work.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was going for.

Thanks, I have 2 more kids that also love to work on projects with me. It's usually a battle to see who gets to come to the shop with me. I wish I could bring them all but then I wouldn't get anything done. LOL

I was able to get some new tires. Since I drive this thing so much on the road I decided to go with another set of Toyos, They always performed well for me on and off road on my K5. They are 40X13.50X17.

They barely fit under my rear fenders. I am going to have to raise them up.
