ck5 alaska trip-july 1 2011 to july 11 2011

I'll be there may 17th through the end of August.

The K5 is staying in Reno though :(. At least I'll have brand new TSLs on my ATV though.

I think were going to try to run Eska, boulder, and B-29 between May 17th and May 28th. Maybe Ptarmigan lake too, my girlfriend wants to help me skin out a bear, but I think the snow will still be too deep up there, Hatcher's will probably still have some as it is.

If I get my tires and tranny worked out next year I will likely drive the K5 up for summer 2011.

Unfortunately I dont think theres anyway for me to make it 2011. My new rig may very well be finished but with getting my own place theres no way I'll be able to save for the NJ to AK fuel costs.

Definitely setting my sights for 2012 or 2013 though.

Wow... does this sound like the trip to go on.

4,000 miles to get there from MI. Would have to do a semi truck for sure. Probably cheaper to get the truck freighted there and fly in.

Would be a nice vacation to fly in and be winch bitch for someone.
:D

approx 12 months left to get ready for 2011!!!!!!!!
finish those rigs, start saving money, apply for the time off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D:D:D:D:D

On CK5 that's like asking for a steak, beer, and BJ at the same time from a girl on the first date :p:

We will have a 7-month-old by then, but da wife hasn't pulled rank and said no yet.

I would love to do this with my 2 boys, maybe 2012 ???? It would be nice to see Alaska, could be my 40th B-day present lol.

Id love to drive the 07 up for this trip, would be epic!

Now i just need a place to store the spare transmissions:doah:

OOOOO I wanna go next summer..... I have alot of building to do and spare parts to buy still.

Will have to see how stuff pans out the rest of this year. I am gonna try real hard to be ready! :D

i will have a extra rig that will need a driver for next year.it should be on 44s since i should be getting a set of 47s for the jimmy.

I think I may have to take a week off next year and bring the K5 out :D

37s on 4.56 locked 1 tons, 6.2L diesel / 5 speed / NP241. Crossover steering, 56s front and rear, long travel shocks up front, inboarded out back :)
