Forget the high temp paint. Unless you have your headers acid dipped to get all the imperfections off it will chip and flake. I had my 3.1 headers blasted and ceramic coated and they still chipped. Those look like shorties or mid lengths and you wont see them unless you are underneath the truck. Just run em and be done.

hey duelings, do you have an adjustable distributor? You might wanna add that to your list in order to take full advantage of the engine. Actually, I look at it more as necessary. I run the MSD Billet unit, but there are others out there that don't cost 335 bucks. The streetfire version I think is adjustable.

You can get a spring kit for an HEI for $10, different vacuum advance canisters are less than $20, and with a file and a welder those are adjustable too. (Put a tack weld on the stop groove and file it to your limit) I agree, I think the MSD distributors are great, but a 6AL box is a much bigger bang for the buck since it will work with the stock distributor and will allow easier starting and more foul resistance plugs. Although depending on his compression and valve overlap he may not need it.

And that paint looks cool, I dont have a paint gun however, and my air compressor motor decided to take a crap a few weeks ago

you would need to blast them again, and then you can brush it on.
I used this paint for my manifolds on my Jeepster and its holding up good....not perfect, but way better than a spray can.

Heath yes that would be a grand Idea to have a LOL tally for me haha.

I have the HEI on mine, I plan on using my 1406 edelbrock, the performer RPM manifold, and the HEI on the new motor. Got a carb rebuild kit.

And yes I got a new top, theirs a pic on here somewhere of it. not very good seeing I had to drag it through 3 feet of snow so the windows were all packed with snow. But no cracks, It blue now, gonna give it a sanding and hit it with some flat black and call it good. Got it for I think $90 and the guy drove most of the way to deliver it. Not a bad deal for a nice top, and we had a heck of a snowstorm that day.

Heres the top, seals all look good, and windows look nice. Little dirty but it will get cleaned up nice.

Well guys im quittin chewing. Well at least im not gonna buy it on a regular basis anymore, Ill have some if a buddy offers it. But I totalled it up and a $3 a tin a day for griz straight, it totals about $1080 a year. OUCH!!!! So I figure if gas keeps going up i should be fine seeing ill have another $21 a week or so in my pocket. Plus the lady doesnt know I chew and I dont feel like lying if she asks lol. And ive never had a cavity in my life so I would like to keep it that way. Ugh im gonna be one grumpy A$$ Mofo for the next few days lol.

We are dairy farmers...so there are no rules about when and where you can smoke. Plus we like to drink.
