I got HITCHED

EWW!!!! that bottom gasket was effed and rusted out the metal in the spots it was cracked. Anybody know where to get the best one??? Lower topper gasket? The top one looks good still.

Here you can see the the Duraglass in the rust spots after a good blasting and spray down with the fast etch. Ill sand it down tomorrow and get it painted.

And heres what that FAST ETCH stuff did after chillin for half hour on surface rust after blasting the big stuff off.

POR-15 down. Still need to do the tail pan and in the very front

Its nothing too perdy, but its a floor so who cares, carpet will hide all, just as long as its rust free and solid is all I care about. More to come tommorow hopefully. It will all get bedlined after I finish up this.


The reason only part is painted and i still have more rust and patches to do is cut I wanted to cover all the bare stuff I blasted so it doesnt rust with all this humid weather. Also if anyone has a spare filler neck cover thingy laying around I could use one. Mine was gone.

Im not cuttin anything. Ill spend the extra time and money to make it work well and still have stock body, if i hack somethin ill buy a rusty pickup i dont care about and dovetail it link it and cage it. Thats not gonna be this rig though. Ok hack rant over thanks for the compliments dudes

And theres no rust on any of the outer panels, so I wouldnt call it rusty, especially for Michigan.

Ill Get the duraglass all sanded down, painted, get my other patch panel in, seam sealed and painted hopefully. I dropped of my C25 bottle at lake welding today so hopefully its filled by 4pm tommorow...
