First Gen, all hardware no software

So I bought this '70 K5 and fell in the rabbit hole ever since. It was tired, a victim of someone's "perfume on a pig" restoration. Original 350/350.Paint is nice.
You mentioned wishing you went LS swap way back in the thread why not do it now?

So this seems to work well here next I have to figure out routing and cable length. I only had to get the fire extinguisher out once... :weld:

Also pulled the tach dash, tach wiring, tach resistor, speedo cable and tcase cable adapter. Even with the adapter the speed was still off around 20mph. This stuff is fur sail if anyone needs

Did a lot of lookin at shat today. Detached the switch panel. I think I'm keeping the bell crank on the firewall and fitting the interior side with hiemes to the pedal. It lines up well and doesn't require a ton of cable to route around the engine.

Quick hone, cam install and rings removed after swapping two pistons. Gotta love spiral locks. Hope to get all surfaces cleaned and finish reassemble tomorrow if scheduling works out between my machinist and i

That shaped right up! I like the color contrast of the tubing, so silver or clear coat

I picked up black "steel-it" cage paint which I think is more like charcoal so the tube will be darker but I may as well try engine turning it for chits n a giggle

Guess I forgot to post this pedal jobber. Cut it out with a wizzy then almost burn the truck to the ground with welding over the undercoat :haha: :doah:

Redid the windshield bar to accommodate the sun visors better, it's also on the same plane as the main hoop so when I connect the two the soft topper will be evenly supported and I'm relatively sure the hard top will still clear whether or not I ever put it back on is still another story. Stared crossing up the main hoop as well and I still have no clue what direction it's goin but it's cobbling together nicely
