Resolved the rough acceleration issue. Im glad it was a simple fix and had the parts on hand. I need to make it standard procedure to just give the 'ol girl a tune up after returning from every deployment. I know my kid starts her up once a month or so but when it sits that long I should just give her a basic tune up. A couple of the spark plugs were barely finger tight. Some fresh plugs was all she needed. Just shaking my head over this.
I posted on my FB group page that Im thinking of bobbing/narrowing the front and rear of the K5 now that I have the dually to pull DD and tow duties. Here in TN, the K5 will still be street legal if I bob it so I can still drive it on the road if and when I get the itch. Heading out this Saturday to Turkey Bay, KY for some wheelin, after which I will be starting to cut into her to at least do the front end. MTF.
