Heavy's HK5

I can imagine! mine is still sitting stock :/ cant wait to start changing it up. but time and money.... well more like convincing the wiff to spend the money.....
you still going to try to make uwh some point this year?

All depends on the schedule and how it lines up. A lot on the training schedule the first half of the year. Will see.

Springs

How about a report card on the ORD springs? Looking to do the same thing, just curious how silky smooth they are!

Im really digging them. I haven't had a chance to flex 'em out yet. Havent had a front drive shaft till today and its still short (stock length). I just picked up some round stock to sheath the thicker portion so I can make the front DS longer.

Of course with softer 6" lift springs, there is a bit more body sway around corners but for my taste, it really doesn't bother me. Its not like Im racing this rig around corners like my 300Z....lol. I tend to be on a leisure trip when I drive my K5.

Overall and so far I give it a Siskel and Ebert: :waytogo::waytogo:

Just what I wanted to hear! Did you go with stock length springs or something longer? Also was wondering if you had them set it up to move the axle forward, and if so how much? Thanks again!

I also meant to ask you about your DIY dash. How do you like it overall? Is it super stout, or does it rattle or shake or wobble at all?

Its no problem at all. I had them move the spring forward 1.5", hence front DS a bit short but still fits, and I did stay with stock length front springs. I wanted minimal change to install them but definitely wanted my tire out of the back edge of the fender when flexed. I still need to test that out, though.

No issue with mine either. Very stout even with a stereo head unit and CB mounted on the front of it.

Just like Chris said, it is a well built piece. No rattles or hollow sounds. Love it!

Today, I installed all new TREs and TNA motor mounts. I didn't get any installed pics of the motor mounts as the sun went down right when I was finishing up.

The old stock mounts were sloppy and rubber falling off.

Good investment on the motor mounts. I did the same type and it's a big improvement. I'll build or buy an engine crossmember soon. You've had a busy day too!

Got around to lengthening my front drive shaft today courtesy of Lincoln Electric and some round stock.
