Here I go

I believe that he is asking if you checked for clearance under the valve covers. Is there enough room for the rockers?
Hope so lol I didn’t build this one had a shop do it .

Let’s talk off road oil pan who runs one is it worth it ? Also which do you guys like better ? DDBCE6FF-9FED-4C5A-98D1-76F754349FE9.jpeg0830FFF6-B6F8-434B-8C36-C2F6EAA9C03F.jpeg

Not sure on a square but I cratered the oil pan on my stock height 6.0L power stroke super duty deer hunting one year on some old uranium mine exploration roads outside of Moab. Was trying to find my way out and apparently rolled a big rock just right to where it came up behind the axle right into the pan.

I never hear of anyone hitting an oil pan in a squarebody since its right above the front axle. I'd rather have more oil capacity if anything for extreme angles.

I tend to lean toward keeping it simple whenever possible and as long my pickup stays attached to my pump I’ve always had plenty of oil pressure.

I know someone that lost a pan last month on a K5 on the rubicon. Was a 5.3 aluminum pan though.

I was just going to say the same thing @skunked it was amber with the grey and purple k5. I think it was the axle up into the pan

Bump stop issue then? Axle should never get that close. I was talking about a rock.

I’m not sure what caused it but it had enough lift that I assumed it was something else besides the axle interference. I could be wrong though.

I mean oil pans are simple in general but there’s a baffle and thicker material is it worth it iono .
