Horton, driveshaft opinions wanted

Yeah, you can't be inbred with 8 wives! :haha: Idaho is not what a lot of people picture, at least none of the areas I have been in. Including areas where the blocks are measured by the mile, everyone I met up there is pretty good people.

So usually our buildups revolve around the type of wheeling we do. Being able to go faster, further, whatever.

Mine certainly has. I have been contemplateing a custom dash for a while now.

Loose some weight clean up wiring etc. Planning to do it this winter sometime.

Well went wheeling today and a rock changed my mind. How you say. Because I have dented my dash, well not really dented but smashed crushed broke. How you say did this happen? Did I get mad and smash my dash because I got hung up on a rock, ummmm no

A rock came into my cage and hit the dash, destroyed the headlight switch. smashed up the metal a bit and really hammered the dash.

Not such a good pic but here it is after we pryed and prodded it back some

So I guess I will be building some sort of custom dash here sooner than later:D
 
Now that is some carnage I have never seen before! LOL!

So, I bought my own horton today Eric! Build thread coming next spring ;)

awesome Eric....I too encountered some rash tonight....had a stick scroll all the way down the side of my virgin green primer...such a sad day....:thumb:

So is this new dash going to be 1/4" steel or what? You are going to be dissapointed if the same thing happens to some custom dash you have a lot of time into. That's a big rock to let into your cab like that. I wasn't there, but it sounds like Kert would say "thats kwazy big".

LOL no no big deal just ruined the current dash and I have needed an excuse to cut it all out. It will be very simple and won't stick out as far. So less chance of hitting it

Its no big deal if I spend alot of time on it and it gets smashed. This is a trail truck not a pretty one. I am the pretty one!
