A 2x8 is still small enough for it not to be an issue, right? I plan on dropping in a brand new pump and adding the extra reservoir, but was not sure on the ram.
That will be fine for a trail only rig.

It says that the ports are SAE #6 9/16-18 ORB
I thought that #6 meant 3/8? Don't know what ORB stands for.

Does the bore or the rod size affect how responsive the ram is?
This one has the 1.5" bore and a 1" rod diameter
For comparison- Rocklogic and PSC rams and the like have a 1.5" bore and .5 or .75" rods.


i just got done doing mine and i did it really cheap.
grizzly 2x8 ram-54 bucks
fittings-16 bucks
lines and hose-20 bucks
cooler and fan 100 bucks used
i also did the radiator hose on the pump and made my own tabs.best pic i could find.i used all 3/8s lines and hose that way i didnt have to buy adapters for 3/8 s to 1/4 inch.i bought almost everything at agri supply
