So I remembered to check the floor at the seat mount areas, which of course lead to pulling the carpet to fix the floor. And I found this that I had hoped was only a little rust before.....
I am blaming @the_blaze since he found similar crap with plan B.
He jinxed me!!!
:haha:

Lol omg i feel better knowing im not the only one with a surprise hole

@mrk5 and @Bent77
No, it isn't headed to the crusher, even though I pondered the idea of using the spare '90 K5 that I have here. But the extra work and time isn't worth it.
So :flipoff13: :flipoff13:
And:flipoff11:

:haha::haha::haha:

But I will admit that I am getting more stressed about my timeline.
Had to help the boy figure out how to install new exhaust on his D-max today, after he did more complicated stuff on his own. :rotfl:

Polish your turd yet?

Not much for pics.
@500$k5 and my son helped me do some things Saturday. We made progress and found a couple of problems that would have given me a bunch of trouble later. The adapter for the TBI got warped, and I had an injector hang open, when we primed the fuel system.
And other insanity struck....

Yellow?

Well that’s better than pink...

License plates and self tapping screws will fix that

License plates and self tapping screws will fix that
I have been using pieces of old mixer truck fenders, and then welding them in.
But I did use some flexseal after my son welded a piece in the original t-case shifter hole!
:pimp: :doah:

Still trying to remember that it is a trail truck, don't go too far! But I am learning.

So my son brought me the adapter that he made today. So now I have the 4 barrel to TBI adapter, and spacer all in one. The back got milled down to clear the fuel lines, with the longer pressure port adapter. He made a couple of templates to check fitment, then cut it on the water jet.
The machine shop milled it flat on both sides as well! I don't think that this one will warp!!
He is upset by the gouging in this side, but I am not! The piece he found was so close to the right width, the water jet blew sideways when he tried to trim it too closely. But I am SO pleased!
