Obviously, this is all more work than a 4 barrel TBI, dropped onto my existing manifold, but with any luck, I am happy with the improvement.
I have a few things that I plan to tell Edelbrock about, one being that the valve covers wouldn't clear the bosses for the injectors. Would have been easy to mill a little more off. I didn't want to disassemble it to do it myself, so flap wheel did the trick.

Cool. I wouldn't let a few bad reviews stop me. Everyone is going to have a different experience with what they have. I'm excited to see your results.

I won’t lie @6872xtc I almost went with an L29 short block. I only avoided it because they like to make heat and I couldn’t afford aluminum heads, the block, and the injection

I still think you’re ahead in the long run

Well I heard of a guy around here that had an older Edelbrock system and it ran great. And I found some posts about how crappy FAST systems and support is. It made me go WTF!!!
Same goes for most brands. And yes, I am anxious to get some results, preferably great results!

EFI looks great. The orange valve covers thou..:doah:
Ehhh, I don't see your point of view. But that's cool. I am liking it, considering that it's under the hood of a '90. (Not legal where they have emission checks)
makes it different.

But sure as fork wouldn't paint the engine black, especially in a black engine bay.
I'd give you some smart comment, but I don't have one A.T.M.

You have a reverse ATM. It’s eating $20 bills like crazy!

System looks sweet. Best of both worlds, carb/intake looks and still multiport injectors. Question is that system firing injectors sequentially or batch fire side to side?

So I got it running last night! I tried the mild camshaft tune 1st, and after a short drive I didn't like how things were going. Loaded the stock cam into it and it seems better. I didn't drive it far, but it's better than the TBI so far. I didn't look at the learn rate, my son was watching it and had a crash course in what he was looking at. Keep in mind that right now, I have it linked to my phone, no tablet.
Of course it fired up quickly, and seems to be learning. I will have to drive it more and see if it cleans up more or if I have to play around with some settings. They say to give it some time before making changes. That may be difficult to do when there are buttons available to play with.
But so far, no popping or almost dying at all.
Side note, I did end up killing the electric speedo, gotta figure out how to make it work...
And I wish that I could make the Edelbrock harness more custom, but I obviously don't have the stuff for Delphi connectors. So it's what one would expect from a universal harness. I have some things that I can do to make it a little better, but I didn't want to be too OCD until I heard it run.
I wish that I had a feeling of amazement, but that's not really possible since they want you to ease into it and let it learn. I will say that I definitely can drive it now, which is lots better than what the TBI was doing. The little bit of stumbling that it has at the moment, goes away by either letting it run and learn, or press on the pedal the tiniest bit.
OH! And I don't feel that I need to put an extension on the throttle arm. I haven't been able to verify full throttle yet, and I don't have the return spring on yet, but the feel is good so far.

And it's entertaining to be able to get in and out of the truck while watching what the display is seeing. Not that I am a huge techie, but the bluetooth is kinda neat!

I had lots of extra harness with the Sniper and I just tried to route it more circuitously to take up the slack.

Yeah, I bet that it's due to the universal design. I have things temporarily stuffed here and there. I plan on more permanent work after some more shakedown.
