So I got it running last night! I tried the mild camshaft tune 1st, and after a short drive I didn't like how things were going. Loaded the stock cam into it and it seems better. I didn't drive it far, but it's better than the TBI so far. I didn't look at the learn rate, my son was watching it and had a crash course in what he was looking at. Keep in mind that right now, I have it linked to my phone, no tablet.
Of course it fired up quickly, and seems to be learning. I will have to drive it more and see if it cleans up more or if I have to play around with some settings. They say to give it some time before making changes. That may be difficult to do when there are buttons available to play with.
But so far, no popping or almost dying at all.
Side note, I did end up killing the electric speedo, gotta figure out how to make it work...
And I wish that I could make the Edelbrock harness more custom, but I obviously don't have the stuff for Delphi connectors. So it's what one would expect from a universal harness. I have some things that I can do to make it a little better, but I didn't want to be too OCD until I heard it run.
I wish that I had a feeling of amazement, but that's not really possible since they want you to ease into it and let it learn. I will say that I definitely can drive it now, which is lots better than what the TBI was doing. The little bit of stumbling that it has at the moment, goes away by either letting it run and learn, or press on the pedal the tiniest bit.
OH! And I don't feel that I need to put an extension on the throttle arm. I haven't been able to verify full throttle yet, and I don't have the return spring on yet, but the feel is good so far.
