So I did a short drive just now, still runs ok, but not right yet. Talked with @Bent77 the other day and decided to go buy a tablet in order to be able to save tuning info to an SD card as backup. I haven't gotten it charged, and software loaded yet.
But my handheld screen has worked great so far! (phone)

Sorry about that comment @sweetk30

I am having a hard time NOT messing around with it before I get the tablet paired.. cuz I can even with the phone..
Still need to read and get my brain into a higher gear, too.

So far it's running good, but not grand yet. However, I can't complain much since it is better than it has ever been since the new heads. I played with the timing some, set the timing up at idle and made the advance start sooner. That helped my low rpm stumble a good amount. I did verify that I am getting 100% on WOT. I haven't messed with the AFR at all yet.
So since I am wanting results quickly after all of the previous problems, I called Edelbrock tech yesterday. I got a guy on the line in only seconds. I asked if I could adjust the transition from idle to cruise to a lower rpm. He asked about my application and why I was wanting to adjust. During a 16 minute call, he said that I need to just drive it more and let it learn. His suggestion was a couple hundred miles.
His name is Peter, and was good to talk with.
This morning I started it and the truck said that it was 21* . No issues during warm up or driving to work.
I guess that I can work on cleaning up the routing of the wiring some, and get things to where I like it.

I extended the main power and ground wires in order to route them better today. I had the battery unhooked for an hour or so since I was doing a few things at once. When I fires it up again, I didn't have to reset anything, it had held the settings. That was a surprise to me. Another plus to this system.

had my batt off for a week on the sniper and hooked it up today and fired right off and purrin like i just shut it off .
Great!
Mine had all 8 injectors firing!
:waytogo:
This had saved the timing and AFR settings and I started it quickly, without letting the fuel pump run much.
I drove over to see @oatsk5 and took this pic when I got home. I made the lights in the visor work again, don't know if I posted.

My Sniper fired right up yesterday morning in 15 degree. It only needed 4 injectors to run.

But you have 8 cylinders!
You're short by 4!
Haha!

Short derailment.....
I had a buddy who forgot that he had pulled the throttle body off of a TBI big block. He went out to pull the truck into the shop for other work. He said that it fired up and was running ok enough that he started to put it in gear when someone told him to shut it off cuz of the fire from the fuel lines spraying gas over the intake!

Who needs fancy fuel injection when you can just spray fuel directly in the intake.

I posted this in the PAD already, but I wanted to post it here too.
I got it into the dirt for a little bit today and got to try and check that the front shaft is correct. I flexed it in the shop with the forklift, but I still want more verification. It seems ok, and the fenders seem to be trimmed enough too.
I am excited to finally get some reward for the work!
I got my son to drive it around while I watched stuff, so I got to spend some time with him too!
