Jimmy rebuild thread

Whats the difference in putting a truss on top of the tube or the bottom. If you do big jumps wont the tires push into the CL which is why you would want it on top?

Rock clearance is why it is on top. The jury is out on top or bottom for strength. Both are better than nothing.

How much money does the tooth fairy owe me for these?

Everyone saw the fail pictures and descriptions from Blazer Bash 2021. One thing I never mentioned, was the left rear flat tire on the Jimmy on Monday morning when I left for home. I did not think much of it. Figured I ran over something. Filled the tire when I got home to back the Jimmy off of the trailer. Ran soapy water over it and did not see a leak.

I just moved the Jimmy and realized the tire was still at full pressure. This may not seem like much to most people, but for 3 consecutive years at BB, the left front tire on the semi was completely flat on Friday morning. I would pump it up and it was fine until the next year. Now the Jimmy tire?

That is 4 completely deflated tires in 4 different years. Pumped back up and holding air. Not a coincidence. When I find out who is doing it, there will be hell to pay.

I know you're thinking shenanigans, but just in case that's not it. I have had trouble from time to time with the valve stem not fully seating. Tire loses air one time and is fine after airing it back up. Only once did that happen and I could detect the air leaking out the valve stem. Since that one time, that's what I've chalked up to. It even just happen recently before the last wheeling trip.

I have to say, I only wish I could think that far in advance to have such a coordinated and ongoing prank. I just drink and annoy you with odd costumes.

And in the theme of not shenanigans, I also have some tires that leak down when in one specific spot, like it needs ground pressure in just the right area to leak otherwise it won't.

I had a VW bug that wouldn't crank with the key only Thursdays after work, always had key on and short the starter solenoid.
