linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

For all the tubing for my exocage can I use hrew? I can get it a couple blocks away for $2.10 a foot. Otherwise DOM is around $5. The rock sliders are going to be schedule 80 and I already have that. But I didn't know if I could use this for the rest and still be safe? I really don't plan on rolling it :)

I know we've harped on a lot of guys wanting to compromise safety, so I'll keep it going..
I only use hrew in non structural areas. Anything that is designed to save me.. dom all the way. It's more consistent and the seam is obviously not an issue if your bending it. Vs the hrew the seam is something you need to be mindful of when bending because it can tear there.
It's your life man.. you never know what is going to be thrown your way.. it's expensive as hell to build something safe..but that's the way things are sometimes.

Being a full bodied rig, I think HREW will be fine. People roll escalades driving down the highway all the time. Is that ideal? No, but adding an HREW exocage to an already solid body meant to keep people safe in a high speed rollover, should be more than enough for what we do.

The main reason for the exocage is to keep stuff off the body, all the trails where I live are just average trails and I'd like to keep the trees out. If I do roll it on rocks, I'll probably be going very slow and I'd imagine even without a cage I'd be ok. Long wheelbase will be harder to roll anyway right? :)

at full droop, i think the bottom of the frame will be right around 26 inches off the ground at ride height and it will be completely flat. ride height should be about 8 or 9 inches lower. but these tires also only measure 38 inches and the rockers im getting measure 41.5
