Doing some measuring... if I use superduty outers on a Dana 70 rear, I’ll have to make the rear axle 2 inches wider to leave my shocks in the same spot, that won’t be noticeable. And then I can reuse my gears and locker, all I would need custom would be inner axle shafts. And I’ll just use 2 longside inners and have them cut down and resplined.
Also, I have everything off of a trencher I cut up for the hydraulic side of it. It had the electronics to make the steering wheel control both axles with 3 options. 1 way it would turn both axles the same way to crab walk. 1 way it would turn both axles opposite. And the other way obviously it only turned the front axle. You could also manually steer the rear. it just had sensors on both axles and the rear either copied or did the opposite as the front, pretty sweet setup. The orbital valve also had a 5th line off the side, I’ll have to do some more research on that...
