linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

18,260lbs with an extra 100 gallons of fuel. Not too bad. Crazy to think these were 2 $2000 copart purchases.

That reminds me I haven’t ate today.
Haha I do this sometimes too. Start to wonder why I feel so weak and crappy and realize it’s because I drank 32oz of coffee and haven’t had any food to go with it.

That’s pretty sweet man! How does it drive and what’s the gvw on those trucks?

19,500 and I haven’t actually driven it on the highway yet, just around town, but around town you can’t even tell it’s on there power wise.

What height did you end up at with it loaded? I'm sure its low enough I was just curious, something a lot of people forget to check.

I can’t remembwr what it came out to be, but I took a 10 foot box off and put an 8 foot Escalade on so it should be fine. I think it’s under 12 foot. Already hit a tree with it in the field I used to load it

Looks good man. I'm def envious of the setup.

Side note, I'm not talking crap but is that a good idea to strap the Escalade by the rock rings?

Probably not. I didn’t really think about that. But I just loaded it to weigh it and to figure out where to weld on D-rings to the bed for axle straps.

Looks pretty sweet going down the road I bet. Way safer than half the setups I used to see rolling into Moab on the big weekends! LOL

Drove it 12 miles to go get subway and back. Plenty of power, I think I need to remove the spare fuel tank and move the Escalade about a foot farther forward though. Currently has 5400lbs on the front and 13,000lbs on the back.

50 gallon, which is plenty to get me to Oklahoma. But I already have 200 gallon at my shop that’s paid for, so it makes the whole trip seem a lot cheaper if I don’t have to pay to fuel up.

Just bring the whole setup to me and I’ll figure it out for you. It might take me a while though. Probably going to have to do a lot of loading and unloading at the trailhead and it would be best if I drained the tanks while I’m figuring things out. Best way I can see doing that is putting some miles on it. Yeah I’ll let you know when I figure it out.

Sink the slip tank into the bed so you can pull up over the top of it.

Not a bad idea, but I have a narrower tank I’m going to try first, will gain me about a foot.

You would really do that for me?? Man the people here are so kind. Also, I think your back would start to hurt about 1000 miles into trying to drain the tanks or 7 miles In...

Lol the other night I started thinking about medium duty trucks again and I found this... Not as good of a deal as yours but it’s pretty awesome. Trying to convince my wife that I need it but I don’t think she thinks I’m serious.
