LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Held the plates up and got a look at what they'll look like, (because the bars seem too long), and found that they'll cross right through the middle of my exhaust opening :doah: .
Not ideal but I'm not changing the exhaust any time soon, so:dunno:

You can turn down the exhaust, or you can just ignore it.

The plan has always been to continue it out to the side a little farther from there. Or relocate the shock on the driver's side and go over the axle out the tail.
Putting turn downs there won't be simple but I could do that. .
I think if these work fine, I'll probably keep the current suspension setup and just move the shock so I can go to the tail.

Well. It's all in and tightened down.

But..... I have more mods to make :doah:

It's centered, no left and right.
Just something to do with the spring pack being so much smaller now. I took like 3 leaves out and removed the 1" overload.

And.... My lower shock bushings ARE kind of coming apart, but don't look like they're bad enough to make noise yet.

Inside of the rods are 1.07"
So I'm going to look for some 1" OD tube to slug the joint with and take 1.75-2" out of each.
1.5 would get me bolted up, but I want the adjustability yet.
The rods are super thin. Kind of surprised me.
I knew they were light, but they're like .080"wall or something.
All together the kit only weighs 35#, so that's cool.

Crossing fingers on whether it'll cure the stutter deal.

Bars in, and it definitely stopped the stutter deal.
Still sounds like the trans does.... something :dunno: odd, at the 1-2 shift. But it shifts jarringly still lol.
And if I mash it as soon as it gets into second it'll squeal the tires lol.

I could feel the caltracs before I even got on it. It just felt more solid or something..

With the weight on the truck the exhaust mostly clears the bars.
But turn downs are in order.

I messed up and put my shortened end on the wrong side. I wanted it hidden behind the wheel.
Oh well, some day I'll spin them. But they're fine for now.

Got the crank sensor changed, gap was good.
Haven't taken it out yet though.

Took it out and went all the way to 6400 :thumb:
Not sure if I still have tuning to do up there or what, but at about 6200it kinda started getting rough.
Took it up there 3-4 times and then called it good for now.

I'm going through dona couple drives today and have my wife get datalog for me to see how it's doing past 6000.
Maybe try a burnout lol

Had an interesting issue today.

I did a 0-100 Data log run. Wife didn't get it turned on :doah:
Then another. 0-100 in 13 flat.

Then I tried a power brake burnout.....

With odd results.
She stopped too far forward and had a car b hind her, so it's a chitty pic.

But do you see the side to side difference? Lol
Not sure if that wheel hopped (never felt it), or if the gov loc was letting go intermittently.

Also... The belt tensioner pulled all the way over and got stuck.IMG_20250630_153450810_HDR~3.jpg
So I filed the ridge off.
I really need the next size longer belt.
But I have to find a way to find that.

Why it's getting rough around 6200 is the rev limiter is starting in about there.
That kinda p155es me off.
I set the limiter at 6900 it should go to 6900
At least 6700 before it starts doing chit.
Am I supposed to set it at 7500 so I can reach 6900 :dunno: :doah:
So right now it's hitting limiter 200 rpm before my shift points.

2 more things.
With the new sensor it goes from park to gear better:dunno:
And it's starving for air up there again.
So I'm probably going to lose the air box again and see if that helps. But then it'll be sucking hot air directly out of the electric fan.:doah:

It wasn't bad. But it's gaining vacuum.
Went from about 95-96kpa to 91.

When it's wide open it's like 95-96.
When I let off at 100 mph it goes down to like 10-20
