LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Ordered a fender roller. May need it for the cutlass too. So MAW.
I'll have to build an 8lug adapter, but that won't be hard.

I'll go that route first, and do whatever it takes for the rear.
Because it just looks good from this angle. Lol.

Took out the overload, added the stereo weight, and drove it a round a touch.

I think this is how it'll stay for a while.
I did find that yes, they do make shocks with helper springs for the front of it.
It's a little softer than I'd like up there as is, so I may just pick a set up and throw them in for the ell of it. See how it goes.
But overall I'm happy enough so far.

I do think the fronts low, but I'm sort of afraid of buying stock SB springs and them being too high. :dunno:

That's why I'm figuring I'll throw in the spring helper shocks and see how it goes first.
Not sure if that'll do anything more than stiffen it up. But they're $80 and 6 bolts to try.
Still gonna drive it this way a while.

It didn't eat fender when I drove it. Purposely went in a couple odd driveways to see. At turn, hitting bump stop, it was ok.
Still gonna roll the fenders some this week when the tool gets here.

Spring assist shocks did help a little actually. Feels like a non permanent solution though.

Actually in the side by side pics they don't look much different. But in person at my shop it seems about an inch up.:dunno:

Also figured out my fenders are about toast behind the chrome. :doah:

The pictures do show about an inch difference

I guess yeah.. I thought it was only the shadow.

I have the fender roller, but with the lips being fugged up, I'm not sure how well it'll work. Plus I need to make an 8lug plate to mount the roller. All the ones I found were 4, 5, or 6 lug.
Going to try and make one at work this weekend.

Just get your wife to idle slowly forward and back and do the baseball bat fender clearance job with a wood bat, the fenders obviously aren't mint so no worries on being perfect.

Looked into that. Too many holes in the roof to deal with.
Fug it. It can stay lol.

Did pick up some flex steel front seats for it a couple hrs ago though :waytogo:

Put the bolts back in with some rubber washers until you get body work done to fill them correctly.
Sure you can see them up close but going down the road it's cleaner looking.

Think if I did that I'd use good flat bolts and a more permanent sealant. Then leave em.

That's actually an idea.

I just didn't want to weld up all the holes and chit. Now I'd have to rip off a bunch of sound deadening to weld em. Ace has some good low pan head bolts.
I could put them in and use small fiberglass mat circles dipped in resin., Tighten them up and sand around them when it's all cured. Paint the whole works.

Eh... I was bored. I've wanted to do that, but wasn't sure how to get too the nuts of some of them. Just looked again and they're kinda like nutserts. So I just did it. Lol.
Figured I'll just have to go with it. I'm in it now. :thumb:

Maybe a row of chrome pikes down each side....:haha:
