Trying to get Paul to go coon calling but I will most likely going to Steins and hunt behind his house because you guys are about as much fun as a wet blanket.

You're the one wanting to lay down with Paul in a field while we go out and do manly 4x4 offroading stuff.

What drifted pasture are you headed too? That is what I thought. Parking lot "drifting" is not Manly.

I don't know yet. I do not plan on doing any parking lot drifting in my lifted truck though. That **** is fun in little beaters but not the K10.

Welp- Got the buckets mostly put in! Went to The Shop here in Lincoln on Saturday where John frequents, and threw the suckers in. Also met Red, can't remember his real name but he's a pretty hilarious dude.

We only had a few hours to blow by the time I arrived with my truck, so I couldn't get the rear inner holes drilled, or the holes for the console, but Johnny booger welded my brackets to the floor for me since I'm too pretty to work a welder, (sort of an inside joke, John always sees me at school and says I look pretty since I dress decent) so I have 6 out of 8 bolts in the floor. I'm planning on using beefy nutserts for the last set of holes, and probably the console too.

The seats ended up pretty straight backed, so on Sunday I fixed them up with some one inch spacers between the seat itself, and the front portion of the rails. Now they're nice and relaxed, right up against the back window. There was like 2.5 inches of room before, and it was awful.

Like John, I kind of suck at taking pics, but I'll try to get some posted so you all can be jealous of my sweet new buckets.

Materials used: buckets and console from K5 blazer, seat tracks and "A" bracket welded to floor of suburban.

The brackets can be chiseled out if you're in a salvage yard, but be careful... the Burb fought me for them, and I ended up catching a flying chisel to the face. Cut my chin, my lip in two spots, sliced my lower gum open, and nearly lost teeth. Luckily there was still some snow on the ground that I could pack in like a dip to control the bleeding.

I got a little beat up, but you shoulda seen the other guy :D

Yes. gives me an excuse to have all the girls who are with me all the time sit in my lap.

errr.. ya.

the only thing that ever rides with me anyway is one person or my dog. More than two people in a single cab blows anyway!

Bull ****, I've had five girls in my regular cab '87 V10. It was a great afternoon.

Picked up a shop truck project since only having one money pit is just monkey business.

1947 3100. Looking for some old 6 lug factory wheels that I can cut up and reverse if anyone has any locally.. I have a set of bias wide whites, and after lowering it a bit I think it will be pretty sweet. Needs all new wiring and lots of TLC though...

Bad ass my buddy just got a 52 from his mother in law body is solid missing the front clip that she used on her truck. Planning on sticking a 5.3 in it make a nice weekend cruiser out of it.

Also it used to belong to the Agricultural stabilization and conservation service, or possibly the Soil conservation service- My dad remembers this truck out at sites where the company he drove earth movers for as a teen was contracted to create terraces in fields and such. So it's got a pretty relevant history with him, which I think is cool.

The reason I'm telling you this is I'm hoping to recreate the door logos, but all I have to go off of is the upside down triangles, and the fact that it was an ASCS or SCS truck..... so if anyone knows what the logos could have been, please enlighten me!

Thanks! outside of having to redo all the wiring, I'd like to just get it all maintained and working to proper 1947 standards. It will likely never see any highway use, so I figure if I get everything working the way it was designed to, it should make a fine cruiser, even with a 216 thriftmaster with a 4 speed and 4.11 gears :D

Some day I'm going to get a truck like that, or something older, for my company vehicle. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it.
