Used to be dirt/mud lol. Couldn’t afford concrete before I started so I put some millings down instead. It was supposed to be a area to store my toys and equipment but turned into a makeshift shop. Someday I’ll build a real garage to make life easier, probably after all my projects are completed lol

I'm doing a shackle flip in the rear to level up the truck. Per the instructions of the kit it will move the rear axle forward about a 1 1/2" forward so I bought a zero rate add-a-leaves to move the axle back the 1 1/2".

I'm not to sure about this its looks like I'm stacking blocks but ORD assured me it's fine. But I'm gonna call them again tomorrow to double check for peace of mind.

Had to drill a 3/4" hole in the spring plate to accommodate the axle moving.

Heres the what it looks like now moved back 1 1/2" for now until I put in the shackle flip in

I assume you would take those blocks out when the flip goes on. Looks like you need new shocks already with how high it is, even before a flip.

No, I wanted to leave them in there. The whole reason for the shackle flop was to pick up the rear end some to level out the truck. I'd be defeating the purpose of the flip to take them out +2.5" shackle then -4" for the block I'd be down -1.5" from where I started. I want the rear to raise up about 3-4" from where it was at.

Made a call to ORD and they assured me my setup is good to go. So all is good, I trust those guys and there products are top notch.

Whats your driveshaft plans? With that much lift you almost have to cut and turn the perches, and run a double cardan.

You nailed it. I'm gonna get some shafts made from Tom woods after the shackle flip is done. Then cut and turn the rear axle as nessasary. The front will be more involved with shims and cutting the knuckles off to get the caster back. Cant cut off the perches on the front since one of them is made into the housing.

How much total lift? I'm running 7" suspension and didn't need to cut & turn the knuckles. In fact, I don't even have shims.

Some more parts showed up this week. So me and boy got busy today.

ORD traction bar

Went ahead and cleaned the bar up, primed and painted. Gotta wait to install until driveshafts are installed. Might have to cut the perches and rotate the axles.

A new drag link for the cross over steering came in too.

I like to put antiseeze on everything that needs to move.

Installed

We installed a shackle flip kit too.

Grinding off the old mounts

Wasnt that hard to get off

The new mount and hardware

Done. Was able to install without removing the bumper or gas tank. Even thou in gonna have to drop the tank in the near future

No more California lean. Sits perfect to me

After putting in fiberglass inner fenders my battery didnt fit for whatever reason. So I made a new battery tray that lowers and turns the battery some to clear the hood.

And like always prepped, primed and painted

Forgot about this. Shock mount needs fixing. Seems like 2 steps forward 1 step back. Oh well I’ll get’er done soon lol. Seems like the previous owner liked to place bandaids on things instead of spending the time to fix stuff right.

No pictures today. Just drained the gas tank since it’s gotta be removed to repair the shock mounts, plus the sending unit wasn’t working right either so now a good time to fix it. Also ordered some Driveshaft’s and shims tonight. It’s slowly coming together.

Awesome work
If you need to shim the rear, I recommend having a degree cut into the ORD zero rates. That way there’s no shims.

Ordering driveshafts before you set pinion angle. I too like to live dangerously, but not that much.
