my TRAZER build thread...take a gander

oh ok well just figured you might have known them since theyre the only people in davis ive really ever known to wheel
Yeah wheelers are few and far between in Davis. I used to wheel with another 06 graduate Dano Johnson, he has a ghetto little 2dr cherokee on 33's. Hes probably the only other guy from Davis I have seen do anything more then the puddles at putta creek

yes i know the welds are very ugly...i apologize i wasnt very concerned with how they looked at the time but looking back on it now i wish i had taken more time to make the x member

Looks like you didn't even bother to clean it before you welded

i cleaned just the spots i was welding on but yea i know it would look alot better if i cleaned it but im taking the cab off once more before i mach everything all up so i was going to do it then

i got all the front suspension out of the truck so i can start on the front 52 inch crossmember ive just got to start drilling and grinding rivets ill keep ya updated

PIC-0257.jpg

drilled out and grinded all the rivets off that held on the perches
PIC-0256.jpg

i put the x member up there and got it on symmetrical and what not then i tacked it there so i can put all the new stuff on it all squared up. the stuff im doing to it are too confusing to explain without seeing it so ill just explain the stuff as i get it done

its very nice the only thing i dont like is that you cant weld very thick in 110 mode but im getting 220 in the garage this week so ill have to wait till then and ill be able to weld up to 3/8 thick but its a great welder and a great investment

What model miller is that? 210? I've got a 251 and love it. I'd get a bottle for it from the start and an adjustable autodarkening helmet. Hell with that flux core stuff when you've got a welder that nice.

yea i did not notice the lack of a bottle, if you are using flux wire i would definetly change over to gas!
