my TRAZER build thread...take a gander

I am stepping it up to 1350's and if I go with a 32 spline then I have more junkyard yoke options. The guy who runs that is is 1tonmudder on here, got a 10 spline yoke off him a while ago

Probably just put a regular yoke on there, 32 spline 1350's came stock in a couple different applications. It will make things cheaper, get a 1350 yoke for the 60 off of a 70 rear, some 1350 stubs out of a ttb50 weld them to some square tube and call it good

I don't think so, most people use them to get rid of vibes or if you get a purpose built one some extra angle. With a square shafts its kind pointless to fight the vibes. Running axle shaft yokes should get me enough angle too

i havent done a new post in a while i have slowly been working on the front x member but progress slowed down when i had to have some stuff bent so i found a friend with a torch and got my spring perches all bent up an tacked. i was going to finish everything today but it rained  so tomorrow ill finish it all and snap some pictures.

Keep it up!!!! Im glad all the dram stopped long enough for you to get some work done. lol

well the rain stopped so i could get some crap done i welded the spring hangers on after i took the pictures so all i need to do now is trim them a little bit drill the holes for the springs and make some gussets for them. heres the pics

people around town have been talking about you

Who? anything good?

Edit: hurry up and finish that thing up, I got over a month off for winter break and am hoping to get in a couple runs

Why didn't you just cut the bottom of the body mount flat and weld it onto the square instead of using those little strips to fill in the gap?

because if i had done that it would have effed up the height of the radiator support and the fenders wouldnt have gone on right i mean i know i could have just added spacers later but i figured it would just be easier to get it out of the way now

Its been in the garage since blazer bash, had it out and about a few times right before I left for Moab mostly out in the cuts though. Hopefully will get it out this weekend sometime if all goes well and I can get all the parts I need

still looking for a 32 spline front output and some 1350 yokes, so I guess I need a 4x4 f250 and f350. Kinda doubt they got it up there but will see. Probably head out to rancho cordova later if you need anything from recycle road

i dont need anything i just got another blazer from a friend for free so im good on parts for a while but thanks. they have a full convertible they just got in at metro its complete for now just incase you need any small crap

i got the x member done and the 52's mounted i made the shackles they are 6.5 inches long bolt to bolt and im going to put a 1x1 square tube in between them for support soon the 10 bolt axle thats on there now is just on there until i get my 60 all i need is the axle housing i have all the other parts to build it thats all im missing so if anyone has one let me know. i thin the next step is to build my shackle flip, rear axle cleanup and the 56 rebuild so i can just get the suspension all out of the way.

i figure the shackle angle will end up being alot better once i have the rest of the truck put together since it is probobly lacking upwards of 600 pounds right now
