Normalize Maaco and backyard paintjobs again. It might not win in a show but the body is protected.

While it is a thick spring pack, the individual leafs are thin and narrow, so they do ride decent and flex well for a leaf pack.That first truck has a healthy front spring pack !
And what kind of front axle is that in the red truck at the end of the second post of pics - looks like it’s a way older design than the timeframe of that era truck ?

If it’s good enough for Garands and Springfields it’s good enough for your squarebody.It looks kinda shiny, I'm thinking maybe there's some sort of protection on it. I use boiled linseed oil and I gotta say in 2 years I have bare metal sitting outside that still isn't rusted.
