With an rpm range just a little higher than the hyd. you linked, I bet it would make a bunch more power, comparitively.
Don't let the solid scare you, if you adjusted them once a year that would be plenty for an off-roader.
With the solid flat -tappet cam I have in my Vette, every time I check it, I question myself why did I just go through that again, and I rev that very often to 6500+. If your not looking for every last ounce of hp, I don't think you need to worry about checking them but once a year at most.
