It sits lower than a lot of light bars that find their way on our trucks. Mostly, I just wanted it out of the way of branches and trail things. Maybe there’s an aero benefit, but who am I kidding?

The whole thing will come off in that case (which will happen later this year). It's not a lot of hardware and it has a delphi connector, so easy on/off. Also, the bar and light weigh exactly 24 lbs, so man-handlable.My only concern is if you need to change the windshield it might be too tight.

It's possible. I just don't know, yet. Dust has only been a problem when we're in a convoy, and I try to hang back pretty far to avoid clogging my air filter, so for me it's secondary to the risk of hood glare. BD says their lenses throw something like 95% of the light past the depth of the hood at this height, but we'll just have to see.Will the lights cause weird issues with dust and just general glare in through the windshield with them mounted right there? Even the LP9s on high beam get some glare running in the dust. Low beams have the diffuser lens and do really well in the dust, especially with the yellow covers. I have some S1s in yellow that I will mount below the bumper just as you outlined above, but it's a later project.Dust is just like Fog or Snow, any type of lighting needs to be as far below the users eyes as possible
