One Piece at a Time: My 1985 Diesel Suburban

You should have a thread called weld pron.

No explanation, just pictures.
It took about two years to go from dingle berries to decent spare change. I’m still on that journey.

Today, I finished up the cover passes. Half finished 308L cap here for comparison to the hot root.

Solid chance these all get some number of dimples.

Lots of video to finish and release this week, so I might not get back to this for a few days, which is a bummer.

Love me some cad. Do the plates go topside or underneath?

That’s for sure. You are a very much more patient man than I.
Maybe, but that blazer bash date looms large, and the day job is kicking up significantly (a good thing).

I might have to get some help from some of my builder friends to wrap up a handful of final details.

I was kinda wondering if you were going to be tight on time. I'm sure you'll pull it off. :D

I'm in the same boat, my help also has to prep his Blazer.

These sliders are a work of art! wouldn't expect anything less from you.

What tubing bender are you using? I had the wazoo Rogue one but did not like the way it stretched the tubing in the bends (11% distortion), so I sold it and looking for a replacement.

It's hard to have a bad time in Moab, and I sure don't want to miss out this year.

I've been stewing on the design for a bit, and I'm pleased with how they're coming together

ProTools 105HD - good for up to 2" .134 which covers 98% of the stuff for the truck, and 100% of the car.
