PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
The build continues,
It needed a locker and I really wanted a d60, I found an amazing deal on a set of axles, dana 60 front FF14B rear, 513 gears, Detroit rear locker, arb front locker, rear pinion sheild, rear disc conversion, crossover steering set up, these suckers should work just fine.

I have never worked with crossover steering before, can anyone give me some advice? I know i need the 2wd box and i imagine this drag link is wrong,
with a 3.5" lift and the axle moved forwrad 1.5" what arm and drag link do i need?
I'm looking at offroad designs stuff but im open to whatever is out there, i have no clue how much drop i need or if i even need drop.. not sure if i need to hunt for stock parts for the arm??? I''m a planner, I'd like to have everything purchased and ready to go before i start messing with stuff

probably wont need a drop pitman arm to make crossover work with how low it sits.
ord, ruff stuff, or a number of others. The axle already has the steering arm so all you need in the draglink, box and pitman

I put a reed knuckle on mine with a cross over kit from northwest fab, they provided the pitman and all the pieces, picked up a 2wd box, some chromoly and a new rag joint and I was done.

i sent ORD an email earlier, i can call later. there are so many options i wasnt sure what combo to look at.

Those boys are both fresh off of BB too, I would give them a day or two if you emailed already, they are probably playing hardcore catch up...

Oh yeah ORD or DIY for sure,
I am just trying to figure out what parts to get based on what i already have and the trucks setup.

If you use that steering arm you are gonna need to run a heim joint, one for a tie rod end has an angle milled into it and a tapered hole.

With 3.5" you will likely need a bent draglink.

Not sure on pitman arm but I still think you might need it still but not sure

Here are some better shots, I also need to figure out how to fix/hook up the arb line

This is pretty much a light street use/wheeler right?

I went with WFO springless arms and they also sell the drag link and steering arm you need. Obviously need the 2wd steering box too.

Oh also you need an ARB bulkhead repair kit to fix the line. BE CAREFUL WITH THE COPPER LINE IN THE DIFF!!!!!!

This will eventually be a full buggy. (The silver one is light street/light wheeling) this one is a smasher I imagine one day down the road it won't be "freeway worthy"

Ok, sounds like I should just get a new kit that all matches vs mix and match a mutt kit.
I'll start looking around for the best values

Not to add confusion, but I run a mix-matched steering setup, and it works just fine. But I'm cheap, so that's why I went the route I did.

Id like to be cheap but to be honest I have no idea what I even have here so it makes matching parts a little hard ;)
