There's about a 2-3" gap. I thought the same thing..... part of me wants to relocate it. Part of me says leave it alone....That fuel filter is in a great spot......

Usually a puller fan is better mostly because it is not in the way of the cool air when the truck is moving.Hypothetical question...
This truck has an oil cooler that's right behind the grill with a good gap between the cooler and the condenser. Anyone see an issue with moving the trans cooler directly behind that.
When I do the radiator swap to the 4 core I want to add a 12" or 14" pusher fan I have laying around (i have so many fans...) just to help keep the ac ice cold when idling for hours in 100 degree weather. I noticed the stock big blocks all have little pusher fans I figured it couldnt hurt. Moving the trans cooler would make this a lot easier.
I may even switch to a plate style trans cooler for improved cooling....

@imiceman44 I agree puller is better however, this fan is in addition to my 19.5" mechanical puller fan that's sitting in the factory position. This is a little helper fan for when the vehicle isnt moving.Usually a puller fan is better mostly because it is not in the way of the cool air when the truck is moving.
is there a minimum speed for that to take effectAnd as an added bonus it'll give you more stability in REALLY deep water crossings!
Not sure, you'd have to do some reading.is there a minimum speed for that to take effect

yeah i am going to try to stagger the coolers more on the drivers and add the pusher fan on the passenger side. i found a decent way to mount all this stuff with zero fab work.Factory big block trucks have little pusher fans.
I probably wouldn't stack coolers, put them side by side.
But if you were going to to add fans it probably wouldn't matter much.
