PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
So B52 to get 4", move axle forward, shackle flip the rear with an axle relocation plate to move it back, 1" body lift to help when you clock the t-case, built in sliders and trim to fit tires..

Oh, and maybe a zero-rate up front to compensate for the bigblock..

Before BB17 right??????
Done yet???

:haha::haha::rotfl: :rotfl:
I have most of that done now. I work fast ;) lol

I don't know what I'll have done before bb17 but I'll try to have something done

What's the cheapest and fastest way to get good flex?
No I'm not thinking coils.
Would a shackle flip give me the most in the rear? I am thinking I want to keep this around a 4" lift and trimming a bunch to fit my 37s. Low truck big tires. ( insert think face)

Probably shackle flip and grease able bushings all around in the rear would be the fastest, easiest, and cheapest. Least amount of parts to buy and mostly just your own labor to do it.

That's one thing I have hated on my other truck is the rear does not flex. I have 6" tuff country springs and It's stiff.

Looking into shackle flips now.

I would go shackle flip and 56's in the rear with the poly bushings. Then maybe the 52 swap up front. Gets you a good amount of flex. My brother's Suburban on 40's has this combo and does great.

I have 5" lift 64" springs for an 88-98 and grease able bushings and ORD 6" shackles in the factory style setup. I have my 12" travel shocks mounted for equal droop and compression and I can max them out no problem. I can pick one rear tire about 3' off the ground and it just bottoms out the shock. I love it. TNA does some rear 64" swap brackets I would have gone with if I knew about them but then you will also need springs and shock relocation and lots more work and money.

My k5 has 56" rear springs and a flip tuff countrys up front rides like a caddy. The rear shocks are relocated also. That said I get body roll when turning lol my daughter hates it .

Question for those with TBI this truck has all of the emissions stuff on it. Anyone know what I can cap and take off? I see some lines go from the throttle body to sensors right next to it, I imagine I don't want to mess with that. I'd like to clean up the engine and add easy hp. (As of next year I don't need to do emissions any more

Post a picture. The only emissions stuff that I can think of that you could easily remove, is air injection in the exhaust.
EGR can be removed, but I don't know if you have to have a new chip burned to handle that.

The air injection can be removed no problem. Won't effect anything once the converter is off. The EGR would require a chip to function correctly, the only thing left is the charcoal canister. Which I wouldn't remove.

I noticed a cracked line going to the charchol canister so I unhooked it and plugged it but I can stick it back on. I'd like to take off the cat and the air pump. I'd also like to do headers

This truck is 100% stock literally every factory option, hose, sticker still in its place. I need to build up power so it can spin the big tires it's getting soon

Cut the leaf clamps off of the rear springs, = more droop, but taxes the springs more, I replaced the clamps with some chunks of rectangle tube, keeps the leaves aligned and lets a little more leaf separation happen.

Lol I am doing a throttle body spacer, 14psi spring and upgraded fuel pump and fixing the exhaust, that with the 410 gears will need to get me by until I can do a BBC or ls swap lol. Trust me I want 500ish horses in this thing but I'll get by with what I can for now ;)

I just need this road worth for bb17 so my buddy has something to drive.

With less than 2 months and fumes for $$ a swap is off the table.

So for the lift I got 2.5" procomp front springs and a 1" zero rate from diy4x I'm pushing the axle 1.5" forward .
For the rear I did the 2.5" ord shackle flip and 1" diy4x zero rate, we will move the axle back 1.5"
I scored a 14b rear and d44 front with 410 gears and a set of hummer takeoff wheels. I'll mount my 37" swampers I just pulled off nightmare and cut like crazy, we wanted low with big tires! Should be sick!

Question,
I have a ff14b and a d44 front with 410 gears,
Is it worth a 3 hour (round trip) trip and $450 To get the same axles with 456 gears?
Yes I would try to sell the axles with the 410s

Running 37s with the stock tbi350 ,700r4,208

Ultimately one day far off I want to do 513s

Yes, your transmission will thank you later. Or just put that $450 towards 5:13's now
