Project OVERKILL - Ppump 24v Fummins swap started

Hmm, and here I thought this was going to be mainly a tow rig/working truck - silly me  :haha:

no where did I say working truck. I will pull my trailer with it, i will put quads in the back of it. I will driving it to work every day.......wait just like I do now. Just like I did with my dodge.

thanks though

Don't mention it :wink1: :D

Stoopid question. Any ill effects of running a 22 on a 22.5 rim or is the 1/2" such a small portion of the overall diameter it is not that big of a deal?

Why don't guys run 16" tires on a 16.5" rim?

Just curious.

Dik

Oh nice ride by the way:D

Putting a 16" tire on a 16.5" rim is like trying to park my truck in parking garage - common sence says it won't fit, but you try it anyway and end up with a convertable...

a 22.0" passenger tire on a 22.5" rim is no go..........thats why way back in there I talk about a machine shop IIRC. yes the rims have to be turned down on a lathe. that was done to my rims.

max re-read my topic title and have a good hard think about it.........;)

WOW, nice truck. After looking at this thread i gotta get my arse in gear and find a 12 valve donor truck to swap into my 99 2500 dodge. Im sick of the lame 360 v8.

Your truck is gonna be badass when done tho. Nothin like cummins power :D:D

we're into no turning back now territory............

'Bout time....

I have not seen a water cooled turbo before. Does the unit get lubed by the water or does it get oil also and just use the water for heat dissipation??

watercooled is just strictly additional cooling. its lubed exactly the same by engine oil (in separate cavities of course) its from a stationary application just additional cooling. just plumb the heater hoses through it. no biggy. but its cool though. mine is new but application was actually from a Cummins 6CTA genset. (HX40 Holset) 8.3 liter engine.

midst of blending the harnesses. should have the engine/tranny/tcase mounted up by end of this weekend.
