I know your pain, being a farmer I feel I can say this safely. Most farmers shouldn't be allowed to own welders lol

So, I am slowly working on this more and more a little bit at a time. I am at the point where I think it's time to pick out a drivetrain, as I have a clean slate to start with.
At the Dune Party, I won a set of @TnA LS swap motor mounts. I have been wanting to keep this truck simple, and do something kind of "period correct" as this truck is pretty spotless and in good shape. However, I think something like a 5.3 or 6.0 would be better off in the long run. Just looking for opinions. My plans are to run a manual of some sort (maybe an NV3500?) behind whatever motor goes in.

What are your future plans for this truck? Daily driver? Occasional wheeling or towing? For just driving and a factory engine definitely go with the NV3500, anything beyond that as far as power or towing and wheeling, I'd say step up to the NV4500.
Not a wheeler, nor a towrig. I have the Trazer and the Dodge for both of those. I want this thing to stay mint.
5.3 with a nv3500 would be a pretty nice drivable combo without too much heartache. You could even dress up the 5.3 to make it look a little more old school

LOL these were the right price, and I got all the parts today to fix the other truck. Hopefully.
Little update. I am swapping the 60 out to the wheeling truck, and putting the Yukon shafted 10 bolt in this.
Also, I just picked up a motor for this. 350, low mileage, 100% complete for 400 bucks. Also talking to my neighbor about throwing this in his barn so I can work on it during the winter.
