Me too, I will talk it over with my metal guy as he is the one that will repair it. I will take a pic of the PO's attempt to repair the old wheel tub by simply welding a piece of metal over a rust hole in the wheel tub. lolWhat’s the plan to fix that? Are you going to put a backer in there and fill it with small plates and weld it or?? Sorry I’m noooob on body work..
Nv4500 is a good idea?? @Bent77 amirightFired up the Blazer for the first time this year, I swear the 700R4 only has 1st and 4th gear. Any ideas?
I do this and there are some times where it likes one more or one less click. Some of these are spring loaded so you just have to raise the stop clip, it is C shaped and a flat screwdriver should do the trick to lift it up.There's a metal button on the cable just behind the bracket, hold that in and slide the cable sleeve all the way in. Then get in the truck and push the pedal to the floor. The cable sleeve will pop out as much as it needs to be adjusted properly.
Some people like to adjust the cable afterwards to firm up the shifts, but those 700's are so sensitive to the TV cable I hate messing with them too much.I do this and there are some times where it likes one more or one less click.
