My brain no not works so good no more.

I built the wing cross mounts on the wing.
Laid the whole thing out in CAD. Cut the rear down bars which taper outta 15*. Had to hand chamfer them because my 1" hole saw will not mount on my notcher. Cut the base end at 15*. These stand up verticle front to back. Laid them out on the welding bench. Something did not look right. Looked to short.

Yep. I cut the lengths based on the front hight. 10" too short. Because the fronts are angled 2 directions, these are to short for that use.

Headed to the education pile.
The farmer in me would splice them 10” longer. Lol. Obviously not… that sucks.

Take your time man, relaxed and fun is the way to go.

bummer, I hate it when that happens, happens to everyone.

Last month I made the biggest mistake since I started my business.

I also sell small tractor forks I fabricate that pin on in place of the bucket.

I made a batch of 8 of them, 5 old style, and 3 new style.

After fabrication, powder coating, and shipping 3 of them across the country. I realized I had welded the 5 old style at 44.5 inches instead of 45.5", my new drawing was wrong, and I measured them 5 times to the wrong dimension!

That mistake cost me about 30 hours of work, and around $1500 in freight and powder coating to correct. Pretty much killed that whole batch for me.

All you can do is fix it and move on...

I just realized that driving it at night might suck with that on there. The LED rear cab lights are going to light that thing up like crazy.

Leave it. Though the whole truck could come down an inch or too…

Reminds me of the Australian super trucks racing series where they hot shoe semi tractors around a road course. Some have had wings similar to that and they sit about where you have it.

Those, and a couple of Pikes Peak hill climb trucks, were the ones I was looking at.

Already had 2 neighbors stop by to look at it.

You’ll probably catch a lot of looks on power tour. I wouldn’t be surprised if your truck gets in some of the footage covering the tour online and or in the magazine.

Have you taken the beast on any longer runs to double check it’s roadworthyness?

Just running around town for now.
Car show an hour away next week.
Drove it an hour home. Drives straight. Stops straight. Smoother ride than my dodge.

I figured you were going to buzz it around before the tour.

Did you make arrangements for the tanker to follow for in flight refueling? That sucker is gonna be thirsty!

The wing should give it 20 more HP and 2 mpg more.
Your insight on aerodynamics differ from mine. LOL! Though you might be offsetting the barn door aero up front with the super sick wing you got there.

Wing looks good where it's at.

Full travel tools, spare and medium size floor jack along with a full tank should put the truck at a user friendly height.
But we all know this thing would look best about a foot lower all around.
Hoping some bags can happen after HRPT.
