Ryoken's 89 Crew Cab Tubebed build... aka Mutt....

We have a large truck custom shop about an hour away from here that can bend custom large diameter exhaust. They mostly work on 18 wheelers and stuff. Maybe you can find something like that near you.

ah, that makes sense... I'll check into that... i just remember the reg shop not being enthused about doing it again once it went dizzle... ;)

trying to be nice on this sunday morn with noise for the neighbors, so I'm doing final wetscuff for a bunch of panels so i can coat them tonight.. I'll start grinding/welding later in the morn....

Mine is 4" the whole way, if you look through my cummins swap 3+3 build I was able to buy all the 90 degree smooth elbows etc at my napa auto. I like the 4", its straight no muffler and its a little droney, but honestly i like it a lot.

can exhaust shops bend up 4"? not sure if my meineke goes that big... at least the old 96 exhaust will be good for mock-up.. see if that tailpipe and such could work if i just want to buy a new one to get over the axle...

heading down to the LAB™ with my coffee..... new killa Kenwood amp for the stereo down there.. bellypan mounting today... maybe first panel coats tonight, neEr depending....
Most exhaust shops go up to 3" or maybe 3.5", if there's a semi repair shop locally they will usually have a bender that will do it or you'll have to piece it together with 4" bends. They make a 4" exhaust system for dodge trucks and other but I haven't seen one for square bodies.

You use a first gen dodge exhaust kit. It has a 90 degree bend for the firewall clearance right off the turbo. If you upgrade the turbo then you weld on a flange for an hx40. The first gen bends fit the 205 real well.

I'm hoping having the stock system from the dodge will give me a good idea of what i want to do.... buy a new system for a dodge and add a foot, full custom, yada.... I have a pretty specific spot it needs to exit out back if i go behind the tires...

obviously this cart is 2 miles ahead of the horse.. and i will be getting it fired up and prolly drivable with a minimum of piping.. but i know once that time comes, i'll want solutions quickly... ;)

i knew you had said that earlier, wasn't sure if you said, 1st or sec....

Maximum crowd prissiness? Turn it straight up with a 5" through the hood....that'll teach 'em

You look at some pics of the 93 downpipe and the 94 downpipe you'll see why they are very different.

so that sec gen downpipe is useless...... i was kinda hoping i could reuse back to the 205ish of that system, even just as an initial mockup/fire up...

You've also got options on exhaust manifolds to give a better turbo location should you need it. Or better yet a CUSTOM exhaust manifold for compounds!!!! I know how you LOVE to tig weld.

I just picked up my 4th Cummins truck. A 97 12v that is slated to be the drivetrain for an eventual Crewcab build but until then I'm gonna make it STRAWNG... 440hp as it sits but my new tow rig needs a big motor.

My 92 had exhaust bent by a local shop, I do remember they had to borrow a die from another shop for their Bender but they were able to do it

I wish I knew the complexity of what you're doing there. Sure looks nice though.

ah, it's kinda like oldschool padding lacquer on furniture... just drag a soaked baby diaper over it all with a bit of overlap... not back and forth...

sh*t stinks to holy he!!... :doah:
