What are you using to line up the top of the quarter panel? It looks to me as though there is "too much metal" between to top and bottom. And that has the center pushed out.
Almost looks like it needs to be sectioned.
That is what I suggested to him a few posts past, then you suggested that he sections a small piece out at the bottom to take out the excess, and that is the only way he will be able to get it fixed, but without him responding to either posts, my guess is he is afraid he can't do a good job with that way.if you don't clamp in the bottom, and start clamping/aligning it from the top down, does the center bulge go away and it becomes fubared agt the bottom?

There is too much material and some of it need to go, but the top can go up a hair, the body line crease need to go up a bit to lign up with the door, but he still needs to section a piece out to make it right.![]()
OK, I could be wrong but picture number 01100005 in post 2555 shows a small bump that I believe goes beyond the curve of the door skin, Tht bump also would push the panel you are trying to put here.more

I would have liked to see a pic from the front with the door next to it to see if it sticks out beyond the door, but from the other side, you can see the door towards the top but then at that bump, you can't see it anymore.
If you don't get what I am talking about I will take some time to save the pic and mark on it but I am hoping you get it with me going thru the trouble.![]()
wrong picture.Yea..that's not sticking out it's just the camera perspective...what you are seeing is these "reinforcement" stampings here....
Believe me...if they were in the way I would have pounded them into submission

wrong picture.
It's the one from the back looking forward, you can see the profile of the jamb where the piece you put is going against.
Post 2555
2nd picture shows more if the profile, and the last one shows no sign of the door towards the bottom
