You can thank the EPA for the jump in prices...

yup, it's become difficult to get the old Imron lately... I haven't shot the new stuff yet...
my body guy is kind of funny... he kinda crabby, but I've been using him for 15+ yrs now.. I actually need to stop in soon for a gal of red/orange for the CC soon.. probably a couple weeks from now..... pretty sure I'm gonna be running Nason single stage on the CC...

Thank GOD I don't care about the looks of my truck.![]()
don't know about that..
generally where you'll see difference in paint lines/expenses is the durability.. a bit of fading, etc earlier on than you would get with the higher end lines...

So don't laugh, but here was my logic...I was really hoping that I could get the color in Imron...because that is the "fleet" paint commercial grade...and in Amity in 1975, that Blazer would have been a "fleet" truck...commercial..municipal vehicle...so Imron would have been ok with me...
I got a ways to go yet, but the painting of the firewall is approaching fast...
Well that is not me.
For me cars are for use, not show.![]()
than it should hold up even better... it's not like I'm talking about fading out in 5 yrs... ya GENERALLY will see higher end products hold up a bit better..
and Ice.. some people like that sh*t that looks as good as it works... ugly work is lazy work imo... I spin wrenches and do repairs all day, I know nice work, and get it out the door work...
I had a mechanic come work for me at the one marina... gonna do heads and exhaust.. cool, all done? test run goes well, boat runs good... customer asks me to come look at the boat a few months later.. guy never put an ounce of paint on the heads and they had turned into balls of rust...
one of my most embarassing moments as a service manager... my fault for not checking... but that's exactly what I'm talking about...
