Front is framed out and expanded metal welded in place for good . Just need to weld on some bolts for brush box / toolbox / and tar melter .
Next will be rear ramp unit . Still not sure how i am going to lift it easy yet . Looking at utility / equipment trailer torsion springs to help . . .

Almost done. Front end is boltwd down . Time to build the rear platform / gate ramp unit all in 1 .
Toolbox on fender needs mount yet . Then i got the steps and platform made out of catwalk / safety tread material . Then almost done with propane mount system . Made a index plate on the bottom to index the bottle . Then i am using a forklift / industrial tank clamp to hold it solid . Needs mount post for bracket yet .

Almost done . Got rear platform gate started today .
Also needed a small victory / win so i made an adapter plate for the tar buggy on wheels . Took off the cheepy bracket that used a ratchet strap . I put on a LP forklift tank bracket . Much more secure / faster / better setup all around .

I dont know anything about laying asphalt but is that propane tank large enough for what you're doing?
maybe I missed it, are those basketball hoops your using to hold the buckets?
sealer NOT fresh asphalt . . . . the after its layed down every 2-3 years of maintance coat . the job lots of home owners hate to do . . .
i call them defective basketball hoops
. . . i made them from scratch just to fit the buckets . used my H.F. tube roller and used 1/2" round stock solid . then a chunk of 1.5" x 1.5" angle to hold the hoop and bolt to what ever .

Boat winch and strap . Then 1/2" size eye on gate . It cranks it up/down good . Hold the load good with handle . Not to crazy . 2 BIG lock pins are planned for road travel and NOT just the winch holding it .
I started on the tie down points for both units to the platform/ramp using 3/8" eye rings . Got 4 new ratchet straps rated at 500lbs each . Doing a hook / ring setup on the front of each then ratchets hold down and back .

Got my front hook idea figured out the ither day for the tar buggy and blower . Been getting all the small stuff wrapped up . About ready for state dmv inspection to get a vin# then reg it and start using .
There both at such a angle there easy to pop out for use but when rear straps are tight the eye ring bites harder to the hook and cant come out .

Stopped at the local sign company today and got 25 cones and a work sign with stand . Time to make a cone holder on the trailer .
found these pins on ebay for 24.95 the pair . there 1 -1/8th inch body and 3/4 pin spring loaded cam style .
drilled the holes in the frame and welded them in both sides . then made a bup stop on each side of the gate with built in lock pin hole from some 1/2" plate .
doing this makes the gate rock solid now . and the tappered the top of the lock plates to match the tapper of the hole lets them CLICK - CLICK when you crank the ramp up .

In new york if under 1k empty its just paper work .
If over 1k then paper work and state dmv inspection and apply of vin # tag .
If over 1k then paper work and state dmv inspection and apply of vin # tag .
I like the little strips of expanded metal I assume for traction. That should work well.
was for looks and it was a scrap cut off i didnt want to toss . . but it works GREAT for traction as a bonus . i didn't think i was going to need it there but it was a great spot for it .
I was thinking it could function for looks or function.
