My leaf spring bushings finally showed up earlier last week so I spent this last Saturday swapping out the rear axle. The springs I ordered were BDS 4" lift springs. I knew they were going to be too tall but they were half the cost of new factory replacements. The rear was 3" lower in the rear with the worn out factory leafs and a 4" shackle flip. After installing the new BDS springs and the 14 bolt, the rear was 2" higher than the front. I decided to disassemble the factory pack and mix the lift springs and factory springs together. After trying a few different combinations, I got the ride height pretty close to level. Its about a half inch lower in the rear but I still need to correct the pinion angle. I still have a pretty long list of things to do before Its drive able but it sure does feel good seeing it all come together.
