Swedester´s 87 burb build,halfdoor project in progress.

That thing is definately rather...uhm...crusty.

new headlights,these are from a volvo 240 series,75-78,I don´t think these light were used on the us models,but were standard here in sweden,they have a flat mounting bracket,and are 8" in diameter,hopefully they´ll give a tad more light than the std square gm units.

finally got started on it again,got it squared/leveled front and rear today,and cut off som stuff...

my homemade jack extension,works great,it´s locked in from the underside with a big bolt.
 
got the new rear framerails welded together to a single unit,hopefully I´ll get it welded to the truck when I get home from work,pic´s tonight:popcorn:

got some 40x40mm tube for the front today,and also some 6mm plate for new springmounts on the frame.
made some stuff to locate the new mounts properly wile welding,ran out of M12 nuts,so I´ll get on it tomorrow after work.

the metric system,I know you guys haven´t heard of it yet,but I think it´s going to be the next big thing in the automotive industry:haha:
 
got those outer plates i made yesterday welded to the frame,about50% done,the inner ones needs a bend in them,so I´ll have to wait until monday to get those bent up for me.also cut of some of the scrap metal i used for mocking up the frame and rear fenders.
now it´s time to hit the sack,I´ll be on it tomorrow again!
 
We get lots of salt here... BUT MAN!!! you have most likely inspired everyone that their is no such thing as rust that cant be fixed!!! :thumb:
