Swettysblazer's 1991 K5 Trazer: ONE TONS!

I have a PJ Trailer 5" channel buggy hauler I bought new not quite a year ago. It is a great trailer and is well built. They also have no problems doing custom work. http://www.pjtrailers.com/detail.cfm?ID=B5

Mine is a 20ft trailer upgraded to 10K GVWR, 16" OC crossmembers, 2' dovetail with rear slide in ramps, D rings, rear stablizer jacks, winch plate, spare tire, and adjustable coupler. I was even able to move the axles slightly forward to allow my truck to fit better centered on the trailer. As stated above with my 42s I have to drive one tire up on a fender to load but it is easy. I like this trailer better than a deckover because the CG of the loaded trailer is lower. It was not cheap ($4K) but hopefully it will last a long time.

Getting back into the truck a little by little as the weather comes around.... Going to be doing TRE's today, and gonna pop off the TBI for a rebuild.... It really needs a floor if I am gonna wheel this thing at all this summer, so that's in the books as well. Need a crush sleeve for the rear, and some angle shims after the shackle flip. She likes to vibeeeeeee

Been doing a lot of work to the old turd lately... Got some 37 inch Baja's to get rid of the old OZ's that I had on there. What a difference the ride makes.... Also did some angle shims for the rear to get rid of the driveline vibe. Had to put two pinion seals in after the first one got ****ed up. Got an LED light bar as well, kinda got a good deal through work (now all it needs is a bumper and a winch :pimp: ).

Anyways, got a Rausch Creek trip planned this weekend, and I am itching to see what the shackle flip and tires is gonna do for me off the pavement :D

New tires

Do those measure out closer to a true 37"? I know those other MT's are known to be 35's usually.

I did a super quick glance with a tape mesh on the Baja's, and they where like between 36 1/2 and 3/4...

did you go thru Feltz? how'd they treat ya? ship quick?
