See ya there! Just turn the heater on!Ahhh, Christmas movies must have made you crash early last night.
Sounds like a good plan, though. I think I’ll meet ya out in the garage today.![]()
Spoken like somebody that's never experienced a q-jet that works. I had one on my Nova for years and it was awesome. Good mileage and it tore the tires off when the secondaries opened up. I put a 4150 Holley on it and while it did pull harder it is a mechanical secondary double pumper and sucks fuel like I'm flushing the toilet after a bad night of Mexican food. Fun until it's time to fill up again.Yay for quadrabog.
Among carbs, the only one I ran was the qjet.Spoken like somebody that's never experienced a q-jet that works. I had one on my Nova for years and it was awesome. Hell the q-jet I had on my old 75 was great too. Handled uphill/downhill/side hills way better than any Holley or edlebrock carb with the extra off road garbage they sell for them. Once dialed in they just work. I'm pretty sure Mark knows what he's doing as I've heard that small block spin those 37's leaving the supercruise with the carb still on it.
I had one, it hit hard and was crisp. Took me about a month to get it done.Spoken like somebody that's never experienced a q-jet that works. I had one on my Nova for years and it was awesome. So was the gasket leaking right there?
Yeah you can see the sharpie outlines. That has coolant scarring. Also lots of carbon inside the chambersSo was the gasket leaking right there?
I used the caulking gun going back oneven in that dead area i always RTV that sucker just as if it had stuff to seal out / in .
I think it's going to be ok with it sealed back up. It's not running with a miss or anything, you just had a lower vacuum reading at idle than before. Re-torque it in the AM and re-evaluate.
So going back on the Snipe hunt?Yes
But fuel injection
