Thought it was just the way it was done if you cut a tube to lengthen it.Why? they are welded solid

What about shock mounting?roll cage sure.....
he’s probably planning on having legs on either side anyway.
What about shock mounting?
it would make a great spot to mount one of those king offroad jacks, would be a lot safer then a hi lift.Im not mounting the shocks to the sliders
Send me one and I’ll seeit would make a great spot to mount one of those king offroad jacks, would be a lot safer then a hi lift.
And BTW, even with my square tube I've tweaked it. Drop anything hard enough and its going to move. That’s the @mrk5 door plan...Don't listen to all these naysayers. When the door doesn't open you just push harder and then trim more off the bottom of the door. Its like a self correcting problem which ends up giving you more clearance and removing any body rot. I mean its a win-win-win.And BTW, even with my square tube I've tweaked it. Drop anything hard enough and its going to move.
I agree if I make a mistake and haft to lengthen tube I always put a sleeve on the inside if it’s ever gonna crack or break it’ll be at that weld imo.Thought it was just the way it was done if you cut a tube to lengthen it.
