Somehow I managed to balance out a schedule 40 driveshaft. My friend said it was going to be horrible but he ate his words. It has taken some major abuse and it's still working great! Said friend said that I must have really screwed up bad to make it work that good. I agree with him.

I have a friend that did the exact same thing. We though well it's cheap and we have it so let's use it. It's just temporary anyway. Lol it ran dang true. We both agree we screwed up something major to have it run that well.

Course I gave done a couple other and man they were bad

So the one I got back in it is better.
2 piece, did some remodeling on the bench, but it runs fairly smooth. Need to roll the pinion up some more.

See if this diagram will help with what we discussed Saturday.

Thanks
Hold that thought, well get back to it

Sorry, but I have to ask, what are you up to?
The reason that I ask, is that @500$k5 came up with a way to have the fuel pump power go through a relay instead of the switch. Now I know that he was working on an '87. I didn't look completely through the above schematic, but maybe he can help as well.

I think that he is frickin' awesome with electrical !

Are you talking about Pat? I need to get one of his mini starters.

Yes Sir! I have all of my stuff built by him! The 60 miles each way is easier than having stuff fail early!

All I'm trying to get it to do is switch the tanks. Looks like I have it wired per factory.
So I either have a bad connection somewhere or not enough voltage to kick the solenoid to and fro

On a related side note, also scored a GM service manual with all the wiring diagrams and codes, sensor readings, yada yada

I found a full set of those for my truck on ebay a while back. I actually carry them in toolbox in the bed. I have them inside a Pelican case so they don't get ruined.

Been thru all 32 pages!! Haha neat truck. Lunchin' the rear 'shaft sucks tho. :doah:

Why'd ya sell your '72?? That thing looked bodacious dude, bet it wheeled about the same. If I had one it'd look exactly like that.

Yeah I got a giggle or two out of it. Snowing sideways here at the moment. Was out in the garage for a while, now it's time to creep on ck5. Pad.
