Nope get weight cert, goto AAA then they change weight in computer, you pay less fees. DoneskiDo you have to go to CHP for that? I don't think I want them to see a BBC under the hood

I went to a Cat scale at the local truck stop.
Yeah those Cat scales are all certified and they have guarantees for trucks going thru weigh stations so they should be reliable weights.
Here you only need to do vin inspection when you first register if its from out of state then you don't need vehicle or emissions or any kind of inspection. Barely any lift laws or stuff like that here either. Really cheap too. Cant remember off hand. I'll be doing my '81 1 ton as soon as I get the title from PO and also my blazer over from Utah cuz it expires this month.
