That's just wrong..

@Bent77 what's wrong with adding a 2nd piece of strap on the opposite side, then a smaller piece across the pair? "H" style.
As long as they are wide enough to allow clearance for the shock eye to move once the brace is welded on.

I’m surprised how much extra body roll it had with one shock mount broke
Try driving on the highway at speed with a barn attached with a pin missing on my sway bar quick disconnect. It was all over the place when the winds were bad on the highway. I didn't find it until I got back. Total lightbulb moment when I found it.

As far as the shock mount goes, I used a pair from Ruff Stuff. They are 10 degree off of perpendicular to the axle centerline but with a little shave on one side we fit them in a perpendicular position to the axle tube.

They have been rock solid since we put them on.

I towed my Tahoe on the back of my 82 with one rear shock with a uhaul trailer. The sign on the fender stating 55 max mph is no joke, it started wagging the tail and pushed the truck around a lot. Luckily I corrected it and kept going.

I came back from the gemini bridges trailhead back into moab with 1 rear shock and 13 psi in the tires doing 65... you could see the tire get taller going down the highway looking out the window. :haha:
