I was because of leaks, I fixed them and now it's back to about 1,000 miles a quart. But can't have a smoky truck in a place that does emissions testing.
That true. Something I don't have to worry about around here.I was because of leaks, I fixed them and now it's back to about 1,000 miles a quart. But can't have a smoky truck in a place that does emissions testing.

Also this^^^Oh, and don't plan to trailer it. Plan to drive it. But that's my 2 cents.![]()
I have another vehicle to drive daily now, so this become my toy, plus, it's not very good on the highway and I was beating the crap out of it daily driving it. And my biggest hold up on the trail is the idea that I needed to drive it home.Oh, and don't plan to trailer it. Plan to drive it. But that's my 2 cents.![]()

It doesn't have sway bars, and there's still some roll steer so it gets petty bad in a bumpy corner. And I drive 30k miles a year, and on an original engine and trans in a nearly 20 year old truck was getting more than it could handle. The radiator has a leak. And it's pretty much right where everything will start going wrong with it, and that's not a good combo for an only vehicle daily driver.May I ask why it isn't good on the highway?
And how were you beating it up?
I understand that it isn't the same as your new truck, but I figured that it was pretty decent!
