The Green Machine - parked

Haven't done much this week due to a sudden surge of overtime, but I got the chance to head up to Keith's today and take measurements for steel and also picked up some wheels for after the swap is done.

You Planning to run spacers with those?

They hit something due to the massive backspacing on mine when i tried them on...i think.

If you have to use spacers, motorsport-tech.com is the place to go. They built a set of custom ones for my NBS wheels and the quality was excellent. They weren't cheap but I was scared of ebay spacers...
I've been told I'll need to, we'll see what I need to do.

After dinking around with the broken bit (before it was broken) for two hours trying to drill holes in the frame, it finally broke on the 2nd of 6 holes I needed to drill. So I went and spent probably too much on the fancy bit, and in 10 minutes I had the rest of the holes drilled. Moral of the story is: good tools are always worth the money.

I wasn't planning on an exhaust with my axle swap, but I guess it's going to happen at any rate, whether I want it to or not.

It's s little taller than I want but this is about as low as a one ton axle swap can go and still have up travel.

Not much visual progress lately, just going over the details of the final axle placement and prepping for Keith to fab up the shock mounts. I did have a few issues, the aforementioned exhaust clearance issue, and this:

I spoke with ORD and they're figuring out what to do, as they've never seen this before...

I am a conversion u-joint and a brake master cylinder away from being able to drive around!
